I am currently in Sydney, Australia studying at the University of New South Wales for the semester! The classes I am taking include: Media Uses, Environment and Society, Marketing Fundamentals, and Media, Culture, and Everyday Life. I am honored to be a part of this large and diverse student body at one of the greatest "Uni's" in Australia! I am so excited for the rest of the semester, to learn about Australian culture, and more about American culture through a global perspective. Sydney is a very international city, as is Washington, D.C. It's awesome to meet friends from all over the world. Additionally, I can't wait to check off a few activities from my bucketlist: diving the Great Barrier Reef, visiting Steve Irwin's zoo, and trying Vegemite! I've been here for just over two weeks and I already love 'Straya, mate.
I also had the honor of hooping with Hoop Force Australia in the Sydney Mardis Gras Pride Parade! Our float was called: Sweeter Future....and I was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald!!! (I'm the donut.)

Although guns are illegal in Washington, D.C., they are legal for purchase in the neighboring states of Virginia and Maryland. Take a look at this video I found that illustrates the impact of legal guns on "Uni" students ->
